THE 1912 SOCIETY

he 1912 Society, named for the year in which Johnson Memorial Hospital was founded, is a special recognition program for major supporters of Johnson Health Network (JHN). The Society honors individuals, businesses and organizations that donate $1,000 or more to Johnson Health Network within a single calendar year.

While the amount necessary to become a member of the 1912 Society does not include event fees or sponsorships, it can be a combination of donations to any JHN subsidiary, including Johnson Memorial Hospital; Evergreen Health Care Center; Home & Community Health Services; Johnson Surgery Center; or Phoenix Community Cancer Center. Gifts made to these organizations can be designated to a general fund or to specific services and may be made in the form of monetary donations, stocks or bonds. The following recognition levels have been established for 1912 Society members:

Cyril and Julia C. Johnson Guild — $10,000 or more
Founder's Circle — $5,000 to $9,999
Leadership Circle — $2,500 to $4,999
President's Circle — $1,000 to $2,499

In addition to profiting from the tax advantages associated with donating to a charitable organization, members of the 1912 Society enjoy a number of unique benefits extended to them by JHN. They are, for example, publicly recognized for their generosity (with permission) through Picture of Health, JHN's semi-annual report to the community; the Our Giving Tree donor newsletter; a donor board located at the Community Medical Education Center on the Johnson Memorial Hospital campus; and through various brochures, invitations and programs. Members of the Society are considered part of the JHN family. As such, they are eligible to take advantage of a variety of offers available to employees, including reduced-rate movie and amusement park tickets, retail store coupons and travel discounts. A special event specifically for 1912 Society members is held each year, and members also receive complimentary tickets to other select JHN events.
