Clerical/Secretarial Positions
Administrative Assistant, Fiscal Services
40-hour position working Monday through Friday from 8 a.,m. to 4:30 p.m.
This position provides support and assistance to the Chief Financial Officer and President’s office of the Corporation and its subsidiaries and assists the Chief Financial Officer with special projects. Under minimal supervision, this position independently assumes responsibility for a variety of duties directly related to the senior finance division. In addition, this position assists the Chief Financial Officer with various special projects or data gathering; provides support as recording secretary for corporate subsidiaries, to enable each to accomplish objectives; and provides support to the Corporation and hospital committees, assisting the committees accomplish objectives. Requirements: Due to sensitive nature and high degree of confidentiality required for this position, the incumbent must have a minimum of four years of Executive Secretarial/ Administrative Assistant experience, preferably working with a high-level management member of an organization. Candidate must be experienced with all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite; have excellent customer service; and must be well-organized, attentive to detail and have the ability to work under time constraints with little supervision.
Unit Secretary, Psychiatry Department
Morning, 12-hour position working from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday. Position may include rotating holidays and occasional weekend coverage.
The Unit Secretary coordinates unit activities under the direction of the charge nurse and performs secretarial duties, transcribes physician orders and ensures effective unit operations. Requirements: Knowledge of medical terminology, typing skills, computer familiarity, and willingness to enroll in a course to acquire such knowledge. Good interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task with constantly changing priorities.
Secretary, Medical Affairs
40-hour position working Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This position provides support and assistance to the office of Medical Affairs and the Medical Staff and its officers; chairmen of the Medical Staff departments; and related physician committees/sections. Requirements: Associate's Degree in Business/Secretarial Science preferred with working knowledge of medical terminology; high degree of confidentiality required for this position; and the incumbent should have a minimum of three years experience in a medical office or hospital setting. Excellent clerical skills along with organizational and customer service skills are a must.

Registered Physical Therapist
40-hour position, working four to five days per week with varied hours within and outside of the patient setting.
Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and treatment implementation of infant, child, adolescent, adult and later adult patients. Requirements: registered and current state physical therapy license.
Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory
Evening, 40-hour position working from 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., including rotating coverage on the weekends. The Laboratory Assistant assists the pathologist with specimens, processing, ordering supplies, macroscopic urinalysis, at bone marrows, plant microbiology specimens and phlebotomy duties. Requirements: AAS Certified. Medical Laboratory Technician with at least one year of experience in a hospital setting. Excellent customer service skills a must.
Physicians Assistant, Emergency Medicine
36-hour position working three, 12-hour shifts from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. or 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. Position includes every other weekend. Under the supervision of the emergency physician, the Physician Assistant is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients of all ages in the emergency room. The Physician Assistant makes an assessment based on history and physical, orders appropriate ancillary tests and orders treatment modalities as deemed appropriate. The Physician Assistant can perform any of the functions/procedures for which they have medical staff privileges.
Requirements: completion of an approved physicians assistant program and at least one year in an emergency room setting.
ACLS, PALS, ATLS and NALS desirable.
Patient Care Technician, Medical/Surgical
NIghttime, 36-hour position, working three, 12 hour shifts, from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., including every other weekend and holiday. Requirements: Certified Nursing Aide or Nursing Student with at least one year of experience in a hospital setting. Excellent customer service skills a must.
Phlebotomist, Laboratory
20-hour position working Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., including occasional weekends. This position collects clinical specimens from patients in the following age range: infant, child, adolescent, adult and later adult, to ensure accurate laboratory clinical testing; collects appropriate patient demographic information required for accurate testing, billing and reporting; and performs a variety of additional duties at various specimen collection sites. Requirements:
Current driver’s license, with accident-free driving record within last three years, and six months of experience with exposure to various ages of patients and phlebotomy. Completion of phlebotomy training program preferred.
Respiratory Therapist
Per diem hours available on all shifts. Requirements: Graduate of AMA approved two-year program in Respiratory Care. Current CT license.
Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy
Per diem days. This position is responsible for inpatient and outpatient treatments throughout the organization's facilities. Requirements: Current CT lice with at least 1 year of experience in an acute care setting.

Registered Nurse, Administrative Manager
4Nighttime, 12--hour position, working one shift per week with rotating weekend coverage from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. This position completes responsibility on an assigned shift for overall patient care management and management of nursing personnel. The manager acts as the administrative representative of the hospital in the absence of other more senior managers and is responsible to act as overall resource person and perform hospital administrative activities. Requirements: Current CT RN license with three to five years of current acute care nursing experience, and one year of experience in a leadership role such as a charge nurse, assistant nurse manager or supervisor or appropriate education in management and communication theory.
Registered Nurse, Operating Room/Perioperative Services
40-hour position, working four, 10 hour days, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including call rotation responsibilities. Provides direct patient care to infant, child, adolescent, adult and later adult patients, particularly focusing on the adult patient, in the pre-operative, intraoperative and post-operative phases of the patient’s surgical experience. Registered Nurse, Case Management, Emergency Department
24/36-hour Baylor position working every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., including rotating holidays. Per diem hours also available.
This position oversees case management in Observation Unit, which is located in the Emergency department. Requirements: Current CT RN license, with case management background. Excellent customer service skills a must.
Registered Nurse/Clinical Informatics Coordinator, Information Technology
40-hour, full-time exempt position working Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Position includes occasional call rotation.
The Clinical Informatics Coordinator is responsible for implementation, support and training of clinical information solutions, including nursing applications to enable the delivery of safe, effective, and high quality patient care. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology and working closely with the Vice President of Patient Care/Nursing, this informatics position leads information technology deployment and optimization efforts based on the organization's clinical performance improvement objectives; provides clinical subject matter expertise to translate data into information and actionable knowledge in daily nursing and clinical practice; and serves as a liaison between patient care and information technologies. Requirements: BSN required with experience in MOUS preferred. Five years clinical experience with knowledge of hospital IT systems and functions. Excellent knowledge with medical and surgical terminology a must, along with excellent customer service skills.

Director, Diagnostic Imaging
Full time, exempt position. Responsible for the administrative direction of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, which includes Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, CT Scan, MRI and JMH Outpatient Radiology Services in Enfield; ensuring high quality of patient care by providing direct supervision for all staff; reporting to the Chief of Operations Officer; and assisting in the development of departmental plans, objectives, expenditures and future projects. Qualifications: bachelor's degree, with a minimum of five years of experience in the radiology setting, as well as experience in business and management in a workplace setting of technicians and support staff involving multi-modalities of equipment acquisition, installation and maintenance. AART with advanced knowledge of other modalities in the field of radiology. Excellent management and customer service skills a must.
Server Administrator, Information Technology
40-hour position, working Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Server Administrator, reporting to the infrastructure manager, will work with the configuration, installation, monitoring and maintenance of the organization's server environment; provide support for servers , physical machines, virtual machines, OS, and MS exchange environment; and deploy information technology projects on time and within budget. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience; minimum of four years of experience with Windows servers; and excellent organizational and customer service skills.

Maintenance Mechanic, Engineering Department
Daytime, 40-hour position working rotating shifts from either 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., including weekend and holiday rotation. Under the general supervision of the Facility Manager, this position performs duties associated with the operations, maintenance, repair and preventive maintenance of assigned electronic/mechanical equipment, plant utility systems and physical structure. Requirements: A minimum of three years of experience in the service and maintenance of electronic/mechanical and mechanical equipment and carpentry skills. Excellent customer service a must.
Licensed HVAC, Engineering Department
Daytime, 40-hour position working rotating shifts from either 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., including weekend and holiday rotation. This position will install, service and maintain all refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heating equipment in accordance with standard trade practices, applicable codes and safety regulations; respond to HVAC/refrigeration calls on a continual basis; and work on complex problems, which may involve a modification and partial redesign of an HVAC or refrigeration project. Requirements: A minimum of five years of experience with extensive exposure to installation, repair of refrigeration, air conditioning and heating systems, including digital and pneumatic controls, and familiarity with air balancing equipment and procedures. State of Connecticut Journeyman license D-2 or S-2 and excellent customer service a must.
Environmental Service Technician, Building Services
Per diem hours all shifts.
This position maintains a clean, sanitary and safe health care environment by daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, lavatories, bathrooms, offices, departments and other assigned areas. Requirements: HS diploma. At least three months’ related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in environmental services along with excellent customer service skills.
